6 women stayed at this rustic cabin for a fall weekend and totally enjoyed the outside porches and beautiful views. We took full advantage of the hot tub and the fire pit in the back ( bring wood, it's worth it!)The kitchen was equipped with everything you could need though as is mentioned in the contract you do need to bring all your own paper products, soaps etc. The owner Mike was very accommodating and was a pleasure to work with. I made a few suggestions to him after our stay, nothing major but he was very accepting which was nice.
Survived Winter Storm Stella in style at the Overlook Cabin. Perfect for our family of four plus one add on. The hot tub made the snow storm even more fun as did the fire place! Perfect for our game loving family and we had an easy time exploring the Finger Lakes region on the days we were not snow bound. Kitchen is well stocked and we were able to spread out throughout the house and get cozy together in the living room. Highly recommend. Think the view in the fall would be absolutely wonderful!
They often say that pictures paint a thousand words, but the pictures of this cabin does not do it justice. This place is amazingly spacious and has a nice warm feel. My husband I stayed in Mike's cabin the week of New Years eve and had an great time. This place made if very comfortable for my husband and I along with several of our children that came to visit. Totally love the upstairs and downstairs aspect to this cabin. The kids enjoyed the air hockey table. As a family we enjoyed the games that they have in the cabin. The hot tub also added in the enjoyment to our stay in this cabin. Mike was always easy to reach for any questions that we had. Love this place! We definitely will be coming back and hope to have more of our family to accompany us.
The best girls weekend ever! 6 of us girls go to the fingerlakes renting through VRBO every fall, this house was by far the cleanest and very well maintained. The hot tub was not working when we got there. I called Mike he was there within minutes, he couldn't fix it but promised he would fix it in the morning. He was there as promised and fixed the problem. We will be renting this place next year.
What a great week we had. This cabin was perfectly set up for us. My son, his wife and son had their private suites in the lower level. We had the master suite upstairs. Easy access to Keuka Lake State Park, great swimming for the little guy. We picked blueberries and raspberries, visited the Museum of Glass in Corning and hiked a few glens. And of course, we visited a few breweries and wineries. In the evening we enjoyed grill outs and campfires including our grandson's first marshmallow cooked on the campfire. Everything was easy. The locals were very welcoming. A great part of America. We will be back.
Our family has stayed at Overlook for the past few years and we love it! Well kept, clean, comfortable, and great views of the lake. Our favorite part is breakfast on the front deck enjoying the view of the lake in the morning. This year we discovered the Keuka Lake Outlet Trail and biked from our front door to the waterfall!
The Overlook Cabin was well suited and situated for our three generation family reunion. The open space is comfortable and safe for toddlers; the kitchen is well appointed with quality dishes, pots, pans and appliances. We enjoyed the hot tub for both star gazing and relaxing after a busy day chasing little ones. We brought a baby gate for the stairs. The cabin location is very private and a good distance from the busy road. Mike responded promptly to my email inquiries.
Our stay at the Overlook Cabin was highly enjoyable and relaxing! Mike was very accommodating and easy to work with for renting this property. The cabin is set back from the road surrounded by a large grassy yard and then woods, secluding it from neighbors. The cabin was clean upon arrival and the bedrooms were spacious. The location of the cabin is nice especially since you could visit all of the major wineries on the Keuka Lake wine trail in one day. When we went, we got a late start (left around 1 p.m.) but still were able to visit almost all of the wineries on the map. The road is somewhat quiet and allowed for some fun morning jogs. Also, the cabin is only about a 10-15 minute drive to the village of Penn Yan where there is a Rite Aid, Tops supermarket, Aldis, and Walgreens. The hot tub and fire pit were both nice for spending time during the cool evenings. The side yard was particularly large and we used it to play football, KanJam, and bocce ball. Although not lake front, nor with direct lake access, you can see Keuka Lake from the front porch. Also, Keuka State Park is less than a 10 minute drive away and has swimming. We went there for a few hours on a Friday and paid $7 for parking one car. There was a playground for children, outdoor grills, and swimming with lifeguards complete with a dock you can jump/dive off with a depth of at least 10 feet. We had a great time and would definitely consider renting this property again in the future.
Huge, heartfelt thanks goes out to Mike Stefkovich for suggesting his wonderful cabin to us! We rented his cabin for a weekend, birthday celebration for my Mom's 80th/mini family get-together. Perfect, private setting with ease of accessibility for my parents. Huge back deck/porch area that overlooks the widespread, private grounds which includes a hot tub and fire pit. Plenty space inside and out. The open floor plan, cool updated kitchen and cozy, family room area was ideal. Situated on a quiet road, we could view Kueka Lake from the front porch and watch the boats go on by. We took in the beach (located just down the road), grilled, played hackey sack, made s'mores, enjoyed a nice fire and my parents were able to sit comfortably and enjoy the family. Again, thanks to Mike for being so generous and accommodating for us! It was a weekend we'll always remember.
We have enjoyed this property many times over the past few years! We love the location of the property - a quick and easy drive to many things! This cabin is well maintained and always clean upon our arrival. We appreciate having a fully stocked kitchen - after spending a day on the wine trail, it is nice to come back and prepare a nice meal and enjoy some great wine! The hot tub is always a popular spot. We can't wait for our next getaway.
I brought my nephew and his three sons (ages 8, 4, and 2) here for a family reunion. The large property with lawns all around gave them lots of outside room to play (on the hillside with no worries about them running in the road or getting in the lake when our backs were turned). There were games and toys, and the air hockey table and DVD inside as well to keep them entertained. There is one room that sleeps 4 or 5 (if you use the large window suite), so the entire young family could stay in one room and I was well away from them in the master suite upstairs. Loved sitting on the porch with the view of the lake (with rainbows one night) and using the Jacuzzi each evening.
We stayed at this property during the summer of 2012. Sometimes when you see pictures of a product you intend to buy or a vacation spot, the real thing falls a little short. Not this time. Our stay here exceeded our expectations. The cabin is very clean and very spacious. 2 families can easily be comfortable here. It's on a huge 3 acre elevated park-like yard with beautiful trees that backs up to woods. Very peaceful and relaxing. The decks on the front and rear are huge and there is a table that seats 8 on the rear and we ate a great dinner outside there. A boat marina with rentals is not more than 1/10th of a mile away, an easy walk. The wireless internet worked better than at home. This was our first trip to Keuka lake. The lake and surrounding area offers so many things to see and do. If you like to boat or fish the lake is exceptional for both and I was surprised at how little boat traffic there was on the lake during peak vacation season. We drove from Chicago and would definitely go back to this area and especially to this location.
We rented this cottage for a girl's weekend away to celebrate a friend's birthday. The pictures don't do this cottage justice. The place is amazing and perfect for a quiet weekend away! The open floor plan is great for entertaining and being together. It's quaint and immaculate. Everything you need is there - pots, pans, bowls, etc. There are more than enough sleeping areas for everyone. The front deck is great for sitting out in the morning with your cup of coffee. The owner is great to work with and very thorough. The location is convenient to town and to all the wineries. I highly recommend this cottage for a weekend away or a week away. Great for families, couples or friends!
We visited this home for President's Day weekend, and despite plans to go to the wineries, hiking and local sites, we barely left home! The house was so comfortable, and beautifully decorated. We loved the fully equipped kitchen where we cooked all of our meals. The best part of all was the hot tub, where we all spent MANY hours. This was a perfect romantic getaway!
This is the second time that we have stayed at this lake property and again we were not disappointed! Upon arrival the cabin was clean and ready for us to settle in for the weekend! We love having such a well equipped kitchen and enjoyed the hot tub (even though it was snowing, it was so peaceful sitting in the hot tub). The Keuka Lake Wine Trail had a Wine and Cheese event that was great! Thanks for providing such a well cared for property for us to enjoy!!
My family stayed at this beautiful cabin during my son's graduation and couldn't have been more pleased. The views were breathtaking and the cabin was more than spacious and comfortable. The owner communicated with us prior to our trip and was always prompt in answering our emails. I would definitely go back.
We just arrived home from a fantastic weekend, spent at this great cabin! The location is great, the views are great, the kitchen is well-stocked....just a great place! The description is accurate, and the property was very clean and orderly upon our arrival. The owner communicated very well through emails and was prompt with answering all of our questions. We would highly recommend this property to any of our friends and family and we are looking forward to returning in the future.
We were so impressed the minute we drove up - beautiful view of the lake, great property, beautiful home. The home is absolutely charming; exceptionally clean and everything you could want in a vacation place. We actually have one more night here but couldn't wait to share about this awesome home. We brought our children and granddaughter here for a Thanksgiving getaway. We made a nice turkey dinner and have played board games and watched movies and totally enjoyed the hot tub - things we don't make time for at home. Great ambiance. Mike was so nice to talk to; answered questions and gave great information. Treat yourself to a delightful respite.
We went to the Deck the Halls Wine Trail last weekend (11/19-21/2010) with our four adult children. We could not have asked for any nicer accommodations. The house was exceptionally clean, and had all the comforts of home. Especially appreciated were the two fireplaces, and the air hockey table. We prefer cooking our own meals to eating out, and the full kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to prepare out food. We definitely recommend the Cabin to others, and look forward to our next stay there when we return to the Finger Lakes.
We came here with friends from out of the country and the eight of us were so impressed! We got up early just to enjoy the view and the peace over coffee on the deck. In the evening we played games outdoors and indoors - there was plenty of room! Smores around the firepit- blueberry tart from locally grown blueberries - cool dips in the park nearby - and on and on! Absolutely lovely house that is spotless as well! Thanks for the memories!
